Hootsuite: Genius Learning Design (Week 4)

I definitely can't be the only one who cannot stand excessive reading in order to educate yourself right?  Well, if you are someone like me, then you might agree that Hootsuite may be one of the best examples of an efficient solution to such a boring process.  The design and way of teaching Hootsuite uses is actually one of my favorites of all time.  Within each course lies chapters that are taught and presented in video format.  The videos are not long at all, and they tell you how long each video is before you click on the lesson.  I absolutely love this structure and style of educating because let's presume, for example, that you might be short on time and aren't sure if you are gonna to be able to get through some reading that usual education methods use.  Well with the videos, knowing exactly how long each lesson is, and chapter at that, it allows you to plan your learning session out much better since you practically know how long it's going to take to get through things.

It isn't just the fact that Hootsuite utilizes videos in order to teach, the content of the videos and how they are done are also fabulous.  The videos are mostly comprised of a narrator that explains the subject at hand, conceptual keywords and phrases that one should keep in mind, simplistic yet professional animation that depicts data, information, or ideas, and walkthroughs of the topic on the site or matter that the narrator might be speaking about at the time.  Each video practically visualizes what would have been read usually, in a way that is very engaging and eliminates the boring appeal that simple reading may bring about.

The course itself that I was asked to begin, which is named "Social Market Training", is very intriguing and practical.  The course walks you through how to probably setup your social media profiles to effectively promote your brand or business.  It covers the most popular social media sites and apps, as well as the business related features that each one provides like user analytics, advertisement services, and such on.  At the end of each chapter, it also may quiz you on what was taught just to check your understanding and ensure you are getting what is most important from the chapter. This is extremely valuable information I feel as it's something that I could use if I ever go on to form my own business, and not only that, it's also good to know because it provides tips on how to make yourself look presentable and professional to other brands and companies that may be interested in the working with you.  Overall, Hootsuite is a tremendously effective and efficient learning tool that I thoroughly enjoyed using and will continue to.
