Gatorade Ad Analysis (Week 10)

It isn't news to anyone that Covid-19 and the global pandemic has not held back in affecting everyone's lives throughout 2020 and 2021.  This could especially apply to live sports and such alike, as at the start most all sporting events that everyone was looking forward to had to be cancelled.  Something as big as that could very easily harshly affect athletes practice and adversely affect there mentality as well.  This creates an eagerness on two sides, on one hand you have athletes, with a desire to play and show their skills, and on the other, hungry, thirsting fans with a longing to see teams compete for glory.

Thankfully, as time went on, and leagues took actions to have players be tested and keep each other safe, restrictions eased, and players finally could compete once again.  Finally, athletes could go to head to head, hone their craft, and show the world what they got.  Not only that, but Gatorade could now keep their eyes peeled to recognize high school athletes across the U.S, who arguably had it even worse with having to not only educate online, but also not being able to play the sports they love with their peers.

This tweet by Gatorade not only represents the will for young athletes to compete, and the dedication that they've put it in to their goal, but also the strength of America's refusal to let the pandemic stop people from indulging in the competitions they love, whether that be as a spectator, or player.  Hopefully by Gatorade announcing yet again its players of the year awards, people become even more excited for the sports world, and young athletes become even more hungry to be the best, and let everyone know their name.
